It was Elle's sister's birthday at the weekend, so I made her a present. Acrylic and varnish on wood, with wood frame. It took longer to make the frame than paint the picture!
In case you can't tell, it's based on the vector illustration below.
For the first time in ages, I did a painting on a wall. Actually, it's the first time in ages I've done a painting, let alone on a wall. I used a combination of emulsion, acrylic, spray paint and poster paint (!)
I got asked to do a centre label for Jon Kennedy - his new single 'Boom Clack'. (buy it here: Juno.co.uk )
I wanted to do a sort of 60s pastiche centre in the style of the pink and white Vogue label centres and similar. I'm pretty pleased with the result!
I got two versions: a red vinyl one and a rather lovely dark, dark red one. It just looks like black vinyl on the photo, but trust me, it's a really nice colour!
Someone was kind enough to leave a lovely set of outdoor furniture in the luxury shared garden space next to my house. Unfortunately someone by the name of 'deb' seems to have reserved the best seat.
Ok so I got back from an amazing holiday in South India with Elle last week. Some photos will end up on here at some point but for now, here is a short little mix I made from some of the records I managed to find while I was over there!
